Along the Rio Parana and Cordoba, Argentina

We began our trip traveling in Argentina southbound along the Rio Parana, which creates a natural border between Paraguay and Argentina.  We walked around the small cities of Resistencia, Corrientes, Goya, and Santa Fe.  We spent a day fishing and sunbathing in the small village of Paso de la Patria. We then traveled to the larger city of Cordoba, but found ourselves wanting some mountains and cooler weather so we rented a car for two days and drove to the ¨Sierras Chicas,¨some small mountains about an hour away.

This is what the river looks like on a hot summer weekend.

While sitting on the beach, I made this friend.  I think he only liked me because I had shade, but he could not be convinced to go away.  He even barked and chased away the other dogs for me.

This man was selling inflatable toys to children while wading through the river.

This memorial was for victims of a freak flood in the city of Santa Fe in 2010.
We hiked for a few minutes on our drive in the mountains outside of Cordoba.  This is the statue that overlooks the town of La Cumbre.

Matt rented a boat for an afternoon while we camping near a small town called Capilla del Monte, famous for parasailing.
